A low-cost wireless protective stop for robots and automation. A PoE- or USB-powered ESP32-S3 remote reads a physical E-stop switch through two independent per-core channels running in lockstep, and heartbeats operator intent at 10 Hz over an encrypted tunnel to a machine-side process that brings the robot to a controlled stop if the heartbeats say STOP or stop arriving. Every failure mode degrades to "no message," which stops the machine. Includes enclosure, firmware, and a ROS 2 machine node.
