Operant House
Shintaro Otsuka mail
This is an open-source project to develop an operant conditioning device capable of performing cognitive tests using a touch panel and levers. A novel aspect of this device is that it also functions as a home cage: once a subject is placed inside, it can automatically provide food and water and conduct operant conditioning tasks without researcher intervention for extended periods, such as several months. The device is fully 3D-printable, so no workshop or engineering skills are required.
