DropGen is a droplet-on-demand generator designed for laboratory experiments in fluid mechanics. It uses a fluid reservoir and a piezoelectric buzzer to precisely and repeatably dispense small droplets with diameter ranging from more than 1 mm down to less than 0.2 mm. DropGen V3 is designed to be 3D printed using filament based (FDM) printers and an off-the-shelf brass nozzle. Harris Lab has developed a custom printed circuit board and web-based graphical user interface to control the device.
