This device allows for patient-side respiratory data monitoring for IMV. A framework is offered to implement closed loop protocols such as hysteresis loop analysis and rapid exhalatory occlusion. The device uses Venturis to generate inhalatory, exhalatory and gauge pressure profiles. These profiles are sent to a digital bedside sheet via BLE for analysis. Closed-loop control can be implemented either using a human-in-the-loop set-up, or the mePAP ventilator for true closed-loop control.
