The TomatoCube i2c IR Line Sensor Module provides a very low-cost yet simple & reliable way for detecting visible path for your robot. It features an onboard calibration potentiometer to adjust sensitivity. Each sensor includes an emitter and receiver. The emitter emits IR light, which, upon reflection from a surface (white/reflective material on the ground), is detected by the receiver. The module returns a 5-bits value corresponding to the reflected IR signal via i2c Grove connection.
