Niko: Open-Source Quadruped Robot Platform Niko is an accessible, 4-DOF (Degree of Freedom) open-source robot dog. Powered by a single ESP8266 NodeMCU and four SG90 micro-servos, Niko uses smart mechanical mirroring and a custom Smoothstep easing engine to achieve surprisingly organic movement without the need for expensive multi-axis joints.
