Open-Source spectral measurement platform for plant reflectance and material identification
Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano mail
An open-source, low-cost spectral platform developed for reflectance analysis in plants and materials. It uses a Hamamatsu C12880MA spectrometer with dual illumination (LED and incandescent, 340–850 nm), controlled by a Teensy 3.1 via Python. The 3D-printed modular design ensures flexibility. Validation showed strong agreement with a commercial spectrometer, confirming suitability for research and education.
